Elite Dangerous
Season Three

Elite Dangerous: Beyond advances the ongoing player-driven narrative and introduces a variety of gameplay enhancements, upgrading the gameplay experience whether players prefer to trade, fight or explore in Elite Dangerous’ massively multiplayer galaxy.

  • Chapter Two

    New ships.

Chapter Two introduces two new ships to the galaxy. The Alliance Challenger further expands the range of the Alliance Navy. The ship is a modified version of the Chieftain with added armour, allowing it to soak up more punishment on the frontlines. The Krait Mk ll is a reimagining of the Krait Lightspeeder, which was originally manufactured by Faulcon DeLacy in the 3100s. This ship can go toe-to-toe with the Python, while also featuring a fighter bay on board making it a great multipurpose vessel.

  • Chapter Two

    Thargoid Scouts.

Commanders will start to see new Thargoid ships roaming the galaxy. The Scout vessels are weaker on their own compared to the Interceptor class, but they more than make up for that in sheer numbers and combat buffs that work in conjunction with one another. They are easily underestimated, but any Commander who does this usually doesn't live long enough to regret it.

  • Chapter One

    The Chieftain.

The Alliance Chieftain has been designed not only to dish out punishment, but to avoid it. Manufactured by Lakon Spaceways, the Chieftain is more manoeuvrable than ships of similar size and weight, and its combat profile means it can more than hold its own in a fight. The ship also boasts three internal military compartments, allowing the pilot to equip a shield cell bank, hull reinforcements and module reinforcements.

  • Chapter One

    Planets Update.

We have set out on a journey to improve upon the planets in Elite Dangerous. The first step is overhauling the surfaces on rocky and metal rich planets so the galaxy will become more vibrant. The color of the planet will be determined by the resources that can be found on the surface. As Beyond continues more visual improvements will be added.

  • Chapter One

    Tech Broker & Material Trader.

These contacts appear in various stations across known human space and can generally be found in highly populated systems with a high security level. The addition of Technology Brokers and Material traders allows pilots to acquire new items based on their personal narrative giving even more ways to play elite your way.

  • Chapter One

    Covas.

The Cockpit Voice Assistant (COVAS) relays real-time information about your ship and your surroundings via your helmet, and is in essence your ship’s ‘voice’. The Pilots Federation has approved some new COVAS variations, giving Commanders new ways to personalise their flight experience. Each ship comes equipped with Verity and Victor COVAS options by default.

Holo-Me is Elite Dangerous: Horizons' Commander creator and editor, giving players the power to create a unique face and physical appearance for their in-game avatar. The highly customizable Holo-Me system offers thousands of options, making every Commander recognizable with just a glance.

  • 2.3 Multicrew.

Multicrew co-op gives groups of players the opportunity to fly aboard the same ship, assuming one of three specialized roles. Multicrewed ships gain precision firepower and additional control, giving Commanders a vital edge in combat as they share in the galaxy’s rewards... and its punishments.

  • 2.2 Ship-launched Fighters.

Take what comes and strike back with double. Choose from three unique ship-launched fighters to deploy from your larger ships’ docking bay. Fly into battle with twice the firepower and your own NPC crew, and bring a second gun to every fight. Combat will never be the same again.

  • 2.1 Ship customization.
